The first time you log in, Broker Forge routes you to the onboarding wizard. Until you finish it, the contract and proposal modules stay locked. Plan for ten minutes the first time, less than five on subsequent brokerages if you have your PUCT number handy.
What you need before you start
- Your PUCT broker registration number (format
BRplus four or more digits, e.g.BR190123) - Your brokerage's legal name and DBA, if different
- A square logo file (PNG or SVG, transparent background if possible)
- The email you want customers to see on outbound proposals and contracts
You can't send contracts for signature without a verified PUCT number on file. If your registration is still pending with the commission, finish the other onboarding steps and come back to license entry when you have it.
Step-by-step
Brokerage basics
Open Onboarding. On step one you'll enter legal name, DBA, primary contact email, phone, and address.
Step 1 — basic brokerage profile PUCT license verification
Step two takes your PUCT License Number. Format is
BRfollowed by four or more digits. The platform validates the format on submit; the verification against the public PUCT roster happens overnight. The license step — `BR\\d{4,}` is enforced before you can continue. Branding
Upload your logo, pick a primary brand color, and set your default proposal footer. These show up on every PDF you generate.
Branding controls preview live — what you see is what your customer sees. Confirm and finish
The last step shows everything in one place. Click Activate brokerage and the dashboard unlocks fully.
When this turns green, the rest of the platform is yours.
Tips & gotchas
The validator accepts only BR (uppercase) followed by digits. Lowercase, dashes, or extra characters will fail. If your number is BR-1234, enter BR1234.
The logo, color, and footer can all be updated from Settings any time. The PUCT number is the one field that's painful to change once set — get that one right the first time.
If you operate under more than one PUCT registration, finish onboarding for the first brokerage, then add the second from Settings → Brokerages. Each one keeps its own customers, rates, and team.
